Really pouring down this morning. What to do? We decided to head for a little cove so that we could have a better view to watch the rain and drink coffee. The roads were a bit slippery and we seem to be going round and round all the Urbanizacións.All too steep and narrow, so we de-toured to a lighthouse – Cabo de la Nao. Not much of a path nearby, but we managed a little walk with Rufus whilst dodging raindrops.
Drove down to Xabia then and parked by the sea. It had an old town, just slightly inland, so we set off on foot to get some exercise. Seemed like quite a long walk and the town was ok, but nothing to shout about really. It was an even longer walk back, (although downhill), as we somehow managed to come out much further down the coast. We could see the motorhome in the distance and we were starving by this time!
After a late lunch, we drove on to Denia and again, managed to park on the beach…which isn’t as idyllic as it sounds when everywhere is wet and muddy. Walked into the town, which had a nice square but not many people around due to the weather. Guy managed to get some new cycling sunglasses as his came off the other day and were promptly run over by a passing car! Rufus had a big walk and lots of sniffs on the sea front; now he’s fast asleep snoring loudly.
