Last nights camping proved quite expensive to say it wasn’t really a proper campsite. £27 ish …we can’t afford that kind of money for an overnight stop. Wild camping is illegal in Croatia, but it seems to be tolerated once the summer season has ended. We’ll see ….we might be hot tailing it back north if this carries on! Drove in to Zadar with a quick stop first at Decatlon to look for walking boots. Mine somehow got left in the car when we were packing the van! They were worn out anyway, but no new ones today – only one pair to choose from! Zadar was quite nice. The Sea Organ was amazing – nothing to see apart from some steps down to the sea but wave action pushes the air through underwater pipes giving off quite tuneful sounds. Everywhere was very clean with cream marble paved streets. It was very hot and we felt we’d seen everything quite quickly so decided to head further south towards the island of Murter. Followed the stunning coastal road down and found a campsite in Tisno . The road in was a bit treacherous and some of the pitches are on slopes but managed to get one under a mix of olive and fig trees with a beautiful view out to sea. Watched another pink sunset after Rufus had his walk.
